Ah it’s the Breastfeeding Topic Again (miss it?)
Breastfeeding has been one of those issues that you can’t go too long without coming across in the media these days. Opinions and emotions are often found to reach boiling points and at times gets quite scary. Isn’t it crazy that something so natural, beautiful, and necessary is causing so much anger?
The brunt of the controversy is almost always breastfeeding in public. There are tons of videos of proud mamas feeding their young at the mall and no shortage of outraged bystanders who can’t help but look on and protest.
My Thoughts on Breastfeeding in Public
Being a breastfeeding mama I get the debate. I see both sides of the coin through.
I am too private to put’em up the buffet on display. I am also known to be a bit (or a lot) paranoid about what peoples intentions are. Let’s face it – there are some creepy people out there. But I digress… When in public and my babe is hungry, I never hesitate to throw a towel over us and let my little one get her fill when she’s hungry on the go.
I guess that’s really where I stand: pro feeding in public but not opposed to covering up. I think that’s a happy medium for all parties.
